How to grow ultra-early cherries

Is it possible to produce ultra-early cherries like Glamour from Spain?

"The technology to do it is available and it could be done in areas 6-700 metres above sea level, as plants would be provided with the right amount of cold weather already in January. Then they would have to be placed in greenhouses or tunnels to blossom and, after that, temperatures would have to be lowered again to avoid drops. Once setting is over, greenhouses would have to be be opened according to the productive cycle."

The objective is clear: by anticipating blossoming, cherries can be harvested already in March-April, i.e. when there is no produce on the market, and thus achieve higher prices.

"The only problem is the cost, as it is really high, not only for the structures but also for heating, pollination, microclimate control etc. We could try doing it in Italy too in some areas but so far no one tried, so it is just an hypothesis."
