Horticultural consultant Vortus celebrates 25th years of presence in North America

Horticultural consulting firm Vortus has been around for thirty years, but a special anniversary is just around the corner: it has been active in North America for 25 years. The company has had an office in the US since 1995. It also has offices in the Netherlands and Canada.

As a group of experienced consultants based in the Netherlands, Vortus built up a customer base in North America. The emphasis is on guidance in greenhouse vegetable cultivation: in particular tomato, pepper and cucumber. In the mid '90s, Vortus advisers Simon Voogt and Tineke Goebertus were at the cradle of the explosive growth of greenhouses in Fraser Valley in British Columbia.

In early 2000, the activities of Vortus grew with the development of the relocation of production to the south: to California, Arizona, Texas and Mexico. Here year round greenhouse vegetables are produced in a wide variety of climates, using several types of greenhouses and growing systems. Vortus was involved in this process from the beginning.

The close cooperation between the North American Vortus advisors and their Vortus colleagues in the Netherlands ensure the quality and aptness of independent opinions.
