US: Wisconsin Cranberry Producers Use Technology to Save Water

Technology is helping cranberry producers use less water, says a QUEST report posted by KQED. Cranberry production uses a lot of water, as bogs are flooded several times during each year. Although Wisconsin isn't experiencing a shortage of water, growers want to show that they're using it responsibly and they're finding that using less water also translates to using less energy. Soil moisture monitoring technology helps cranberry growers apply only the amount of water they need.
