Canada: Brant Federation lends a helping hand
Brant County Federation of Agriculture (BCFA) has been busy helping Glen Morris Public School get ready for their first school fundraiser of the year. Glen Morris is selling 30 lbs. bags of local produce.
The photograph displayed in the top-right hand corner shows Sandra Vos, Janet Licskai (OFA field staff) and Shannon Sharp arriving at the school with a fully truckload of local produce.
Brant County Federation has also been working with a local farm, Sunny Terrace Farms, on a pilot gleaning project in conjunction with Brant County Junior Farmers. Over 500 lbs. of acorn squash was delivered to the Brantford food bank.
