Canada: Using Biomass Now conference in Edmonton

The Canadian Institute of Forestry, Agroforestry & Woodlot Extension Society (AWES) and Agriculture & Food Council are hosting the Using Biomass Now conference in Edmonton on December 9, 2013.
.
The conference will explore the potential uses for biomass in Alberta while providing an opportunity for interested community officials, business owners and others to make valuable connections.

This conference will provide information on the several feasible options for future users of this technology. This will include examples of successfully operating biomass systems that provide heat and/or electricity to greenhouses, offices, community centres, etc.

Various businesses will also be present to provide information about what it takes to develop biomass operations, assessment of the facilities that already operate in Alberta, equipment, processing of fuel, and consulting services available in Alberta. Paid registration entitles approved businesses to showcase their products at a trade show booth at no additional cost.

Registration is $100 per person. To register, visit the conference webpage or email the Agriculture & Food Council. For inquiries about the conference, contact J. Renton with AWES.
