Ukraine: KSG Agro signs big deal with China, Israel
KSG Agro has signed an agreement to supply its products to China. Under the conditions of the agreement the Chinese invest in irrigation, and thus have the first right to buy our products," - said a press service.
Earlier the Hong Kong newspaper South China Morning Post reported that the Chinese company Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had signed a lease agreement with KSG Agro, under which China leased 100 thousand hectares of land. According to the newspaper, in 2009 China used about 2 million hectares of land abroad for the cultivation of agricultural products and has plans to increase it to 3 million hectares in the future.
As earlier reported, KSG announced plans to introduce drip irrigation for 10 thousand hectares by the year 2015. To implement the plan the KSG Agro reached an agreement with the Israeli company on supply the equipment worth $ 1.8 million.
