Belgium: Collaboration between crop consultants Lycopersicon and DLV

Since its founding in 1999, Lycopersicon has been active in education, advice and the exchange of knowledge for its members / growers. In Belgium, Lycopersicon is a leading consultancy on tomatoes. In addition, the company can boast a significant market share in the Netherlands, France and Switzerland.

The company is in itself a partnership between four tomato advisors:

- Frank Florus

- Dominiek De Visch

DLV Plant (also in Belgium) is a leading independent consulting partner for the plant sector and offers a wide range of cultivation consultants (strawberry and various greenhouse vegetables). The company operates both nationally and internationally with five associates:

- Rudy Devreker

- Gert Voeten

- Iris Van Poucke

- Sven Clemens

- Geert Mortelmans

Starting 2014, both organizations will work closely together in serving the Belgian market. A common approach and shared knowledge make this cooperation a logical next step. According to those involved in the partnership, growers will benefit from this collaboration through of a more developed and stable organisation.
