dry ice cleaning of lamp reflectors:
"Easy Ice Clean method has many practical advantages"
This year saw the launch of the project 'Easy Ice Clean-on tour'. During this project, the Easy Ice Clean, a method for cleaning reflectors, was used in several companies to generate more insight into the technical possibilities and improvement of efficiency. One of the participating companies was Dalipa BV in Bleiswijk.
The dry ice blasting technique forms the basis of the Easy Ice clean-cleaning method. Dry ice is recycled CO2 that possesses strong disinfecting and cleansing properties. With a robot arm, dry ice is blasted onto the reflectors. The Easy Ice Clean technology is suitable for all types of reflectors. At present, this cleaning method is appropriate for greenhouse vegetable companies that have a stable pipe rail track with a width of 50 to 60 cm. Horticoop however, is looking into ways to expand the use of this technique
For more information about the technique please visit: www.easyiceclean.com.
Scientific research has shown that the light output improves noticeably with the use of the Easy Ice Clean technology. During Easy Ice Clean-on tour the procedure was demonstrated in practice. At pepper nursery Dalipa BV, light output was 3.5% higher after cleaning.
