Earlier this month, green pepper growers in the Netherlands were given the opportunity to view a new variety by Enza Zaden: Roselo. The variety is currently cultivated by Erik van Heijst in Heusden.
About a dozen growers attended the tour. Roselo is a sturdy variety with great fruit production. The peppers are dark green with uniform fruit. Regarding production, Roselo is comparable to Viper.
After the tour in the greenhouse, proceedings ended with a lunch. Afterwards most growers declared they had a positive impression of the Roselo.
