After many years, the 2026 edition of Fruit Logistica (4-6 February) was marked by adverse weather. This led to considerable disruptions, with an impact on transport, especially air transport. There were many flight delays, with hundreds of cancellations, due to ice closures. This time, it was precisely the 'logistics' that left most to be desired during the days of the important trade fair. The influx of visitors certainly suffered, but in any case, the Italian companies did their best to showcase the innovations in the sector (photo report by Giancarlo Fabbri, Rossella Gigli, Cristiano Riciputi, Biagio Tinghino)

Urbinati boasts markets in more than 100 countries worldwide and has subsidiaries in France and Australia. In the photo, Eden Noi shows one of the automation systems offered by the company.

In addition to compression fittings to connect pipes in irrigation systems, Irritec - as shown in the photo by Ahmed Barr - also offers different types of manual or automatic filters to remove contaminants from irrigation water before it is used. Created from the merger of historical companies such as Olter and Royal Seeds, it produces vegetable and legume seeds, focusing on the innovation of Italian ecotypes and quality multiplication.
