Food Autonomy wins LEDFan® legal case in the Netherlands

As greenhouse production increasingly shifts from traditional HPS lighting to highly efficient LEDs, growers are encountering new climate-related challenges that still need to be addressed by the industry. "In response to these evolving needs, our company has dedicated years of development to create LEDFan®, an integrated lighting and climate system designed to support stable and efficient greenhouse conditions", the team with Food Autonomy says. "By delivering controlled airflow towards the plants, reusing LED generated heat, and improving humidity control, LEDFan® helps maintain a more uniform microclimate and supports healthier, more productive crops."

"Earlier, our product became involved in a legal dispute in the Netherlands, where claims were made suggesting that our solution might fall within the scope of an existing patent. The District Court of The Hague issued a judgment and rejected all the claims brought by the plaintiff and granted our company due compensation."

"This outcome reinforces the principles we consistently uphold - responsible innovation and transparency toward the growers who rely on our solutions. With our strong technology offering and solid legal foundations, we continue to focus on supporting horticultural businesses with efficient, dependable, and futureproof climate solutions."
