HortiContact Innovation Award for Philips intelligent horticulture lighting solutions

Signify has received the 2026 HortiContact Innovation Award for its Philips intelligent horticulture lighting solutions. The solutions combine multi-channel Philips LEDs with a control system and algorithms designed to adjust lighting conditions.

According to the company, the system can adapt lighting based on factors such as crop growth stages, energy prices, and operational conditions, with the aim of supporting growers in decision-making and potentially affecting yields, energy use, and operational efficiency.

"We are incredibly proud of this recognition," said Gonneke Gros, Global Sales Leader at Philips Horticulture LED Solutions. "Intelligent lighting truly helps take complexity away from growers. By using data and smart algorithms, we can optimize lighting in real time, enabling growers to achieve higher yields and better quality while saving energy use and operational costs."
