An investor from China is set to construct a greenhouse complex in the Orsha district of the Vitebsk region. The project details, including financing sources and construction timelines, were discussed during a meeting with the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
The facility will be located within the Bremino-Orsha Special Economic Zone. The complex is expected to cover an area of 25 hectares and will focus on the cultivation of tomatoes, cucumbers, and strawberries.
The project plan includes:
- A production area for indoor vegetables and berries.
- An exhibition zone to demonstrate modern cultivation technologies for various crops.
- A specialized area for the experimental cultivation of high-yield seeds.
The produced goods are intended primarily for the local Belarusian market, with additional plans for export to Russia and other countries. The project is expected to be implemented within the next two to three years, depending on the schedule of financing.
This project aims to utilize international expertise in protected ground production and financial instruments to expand agricultural output in the region.
