In the greenhouse industry, internal screens, partition walls and wrapping systems are essential for effective climate control. The technology behind these roll screen systems therefore needs to be reliable and well designed. According to Patrick Niederer of Lock Drives, achieving this is not straightforward. Tubular motors as a solution
Niederer considers tubular motors to be a suitable and flexible solution for these applications, although the effectiveness depends strongly on selecting the right technology. "The tubular motor itself is not a new invention, but the required integration with existing greenhouse systems makes it a complex solution."
Environmental conditions and the specific application of the tubular motor therefore play an important role in determining the most suitable setup for a greenhouse. Examples include a variable cable outlet that can be positioned in two different directions, as well as a range of adapters that allow the tubular motor to be integrated flexibly into different systems.
