Dutch manufacturer Holland Green Machine, a regular exhibitor at the HortiContact trade show in Gorinchem, the Netherlands, presented three updated spraying robots at the event. Each machine addresses a specific need in greenhouse crop protection.

The first is a robot developed for a tomato grower, fitted with a dual Dosatron system. "With this, a grower can spray two different liquids simultaneously," explains Eric Gerritsma. "The spray boom is divided into two sections, high and low, and the robot is equipped with two separate concentrate tanks."

For growers who want to spray on both sides of the crop at the same time, a double rotating spray boom has been developed. "This solution also retains the advantage of a rotating spray boom when working at the rear wall of the greenhouse," Gerritsma notes.

The third machine is the AIR MIX robot, designed for optimal spray results. "This spraying robot uses not only the force of a high-pressure spray pump, but also the power of an air compressor. This technique drives the liquid deeper into the crop. More energy delivers a better spray result."
