Seed producers and greenhouse farms in Kyrgyzstan have received state support through concessional loans at 3%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The programme targets seed production and the supply of planting material for agricultural producers. In 2025, a total of 86 seed farms operated in the country. Under the subsidy programme, 4,485.1 tonnes of spring and autumn seeds were distributed to 2,794 agricultural entities, an increase of 29.6% compared with 2024.
Nursery production also expanded. The country currently has 24 nurseries, which prepared a total of 15,037,000 seedlings in 2025. This is 23% more than in the previous year.
According to the ministry, concessional loans and subsidies are intended to support agricultural production, provide farmers with quality seeds and seedlings, and increase both the volume and quality of output. Authorities note that these measures are aimed at strengthening domestic agricultural production and improving the supply of planting material for growers.
The ministry also stated that support programmes for seed farms and greenhouse producers are expected to continue, including the use of subsidy schemes and preferential credit mechanisms.
