In December, The Rootstock Company moved from the Irisweg in Bleiswijk to the Schreyrackseweg in Bergschenhoek. Last Friday, this milestone was celebrated with employees, family, and a few invited guests. The occasion was primarily about conviviality, but also had a formal touch. Alderman Leon Hoek of the municipality of Lansingerland performed the official opening and, in his speech, praised the innovative strength of the Dutch horticultural sector and the importance of small, agile businesses like The Rootstock Company.
Managing Director Ronald Visser was filled with pride: "In 2018, we moved from Naaldwijk to Bleiswijk. Back then, we rented a van and completed the move in just one day, with the three of us. Now, seven years later, a professional moving company with several trucks was called in, and the entire team worked hard for days to complete the move successfully. It's wonderful to see the company develop in this way."
