Mexico: Partnership aims to promote training for AMHPAC member companies

The International Certified Crop Adviser (ICCA) and the Mexican Association of Protected Horticulture (AMHPAC) have established an alliance by signing a Collaboration Agreement aimed at promoting the training, evaluation, certification, and professional development of Agricultural Technicians within AMHPAC's member companies.

The signing of the collaboration agreement took place in Culiacán, Sinaloa, on February 16 of this year. Both parties recognize that the strategic value of certified technical human capital is an essential component for the competitiveness and sustainability of the horticultural industry.

The agreement was signed by Lidia Sanchez, Director of the ICCA Mexico Region, and Alfredo Diaz, CEO of AMHPAC.

The actions to be carried out include formally promoting the ICCA Program among members, producers, and agricultural staff, encouraging affiliated companies to have their technicians, growers, and production managers complete the ICCA Certification process, promoting the hiring of ICCAs, and publicizing this alliance with ICCA on social media.

It should be noted that working in cooperation with related organizations strengthens the Agro-Food Safeguarding program established by AMHPAC regarding regulatory compliance, since having ICCAs among its members makes it easier to align with Export Certifications, allowing for adequate defense in disputes related to food safety.
