focus shifts to soft fruit

Genson Group to cease leek cultivation by mid-2026

Genson Group has decided to cease the cultivation, processing and supply of leeks as of mid-2026. The decision aligns with the company's strategic objectives and reflects a clear focus on the further development of its core activities.

The choice to discontinue leek production was made after careful consideration. By taking this step, Genson Group aims to allocate its expertise, capacity and investments more effectively to strengthen its position in the soft fruit sector. The company is therefore opting for increased specialization, innovation and sustainable long-term growth.

In announcing the decision, Genson Group expressed its appreciation to all employees, customers and partners involved in its leek operations.

"The coming period will focus on a careful phase-out and a smooth transition. With this strategic decision, Genson Group continues to build a future-proof organization, with a clear focus and a strong foundation for the years ahead."
