Measuring is knowing – Discover what is happening in your substrate

Successful growing starts with a clear strategy. As a grower, you decide before you start how you want to manage water, nutrition and root development. But do you actually know what is really happening in your substrate slab or cube? Drainage measurements and experience give an indication, but they do not tell the whole story.

Why are these measurements relevant?
The substrate is the heart of cultivation. This is where water, oxygen and nutrients come together and lay the foundation for healthy root development. Small differences in water content or EC can have a major impact on uptake, growth and ultimately production.

Cultilene measurements provide a clear report that can be seen as an X-ray of the stone wool. Among other things, this shows that the water content in the slab or cube, the EC level at different positions and the distribution of water in the substrate.

This provides a unique insight into the slab or cube – something that is not visible with drain measurements alone. This confirms whether your current management is appropriate for the phase of cultivation.

How does it work?
Cultilene's specialists carry out measurements in your slabs and cubes and review the results with you. Based on these insights, you can optimize your approach by checking whether your current strategy matches the phase of cultivation, adjust in time to prevent problems such as excessive EC or insufficient root activity, and plan ahead by laying a solid foundation for the rest of the season.

To measure is to know – and brainstorming with a specialist makes all the difference. By gaining insight into what is happening in your substrate, you can confidently manage water, nutrition and root development. This lays the foundation for healthy, productive cultivation.
