Switzerland:

Almost 40 percent of lamb's lettuce cultivation takes place in greenhouses

Lamb's lettuce is an important crop for Swiss vegetable businesses: in 2024, its sales amounted to just under 58 million Swiss francs, making it the second most important vegetable crop. In the same year, more than 3,500 tons of lamb's lettuce were grown on 470 hectares, with organic lamb's lettuce accounting for one-fifth of the total area.

Almost 40 percent of total production was grown in greenhouses. Just under 700 tons came from abroad.
