In April 2026, a delegation of Dutch companies will take part in a targeted programme designed to connect them with key Chinese partners through seminars, project visits, matchmaking sessions, and a joint Dutch Pavilion. The programme is organised by SMM China and coordinated by Dutch Greenhouse Delta (DGD), the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), and the Dutch Embassy in Beijing. It offers Dutch companies the opportunity to explore market prospects, strengthen partnerships, and expand their presence in China.
China's rapidly modernising horticultural sector continues to present strong opportunities, driven by rising demand for integrated solutions, advanced technology, and specialised expertise. This programme builds on activities organised by SMM China last November, which demonstrated strong appreciation for Dutch knowledge and technology and led to valuable connections and concrete business opportunities.

The programme will begin on 7 and 8 April in Zhenjiang and Jiangsu Province with a Sino-Dutch horticulture seminar and project launch, combined with site visits to local horticulture projects. These visits will provide first-hand insights into the Chinese market and direct access to local decision-makers. On 9 April, the delegation will travel to Hefei in Anhui Province to participate in the International Innovation and Rural Development Expo, including the opening ceremony and conference programme.
From 10 to 12 April, activities will continue in Beijing with a joint Dutch Pavilion at the China HortiFlor Expo IPM. The pavilion will serve as a collective platform for Dutch promotion and offer meeting and presentation space, alongside a dedicated seminar organised by the Dutch Embassy and SMM China. The programme will conclude from 13 to 15 April in Shandong Province with a roadshow featuring seminars, matchmaking sessions, and site visits to local horticulture projects.
Dutch companies active in horticulture, as well as related sectors such as water, energy, and biodiversity, are invited to participate in one or more parts of the programme. Participation aims to strengthen Sino-Dutch cooperation in sustainable, future-proof horticulture while encouraging knowledge exchange and collaboration. Companies are asked to confirm their attendance by 17 February 2026. More information and registration details can be found at the link here.
