Looye Kwekers is taking a new step in the expansion of its cultivation site in the Netherlands. For Burgerveen Greenhouse 4, the climate division of VB has been contracted for the fourth time to deliver the complete heating and cooling installations. The greenhouse is being constructed by Atrium Agri partner Havecon, providing the project with a solid and familiar technical foundation.
With this new greenhouse, Looye Kwekers and VB once again underline their long-standing partnership and shared ambition: creating an optimal, energy-efficient and future-proof growing climate for high-quality tomato production.

Proven technology as a solid foundation
The earlier greenhouses of Looye in Burgerveen have become strong reference projects. The climate systems delivered by VB have proven their reliability, controllability and energy efficiency in practice. Burgerveen Greenhouse 4 builds on this experience with an advanced semi-closed climate system, contributing to stable growing conditions and consistently high product quality.
The decision to once again collaborate with VB confirms the confidence Looye Kwekers has in the expertise, continuity and innovative strength of the climate specialist.

VB: 60 years of experience in creating optimal growing climates
This collaboration gains additional significance as VB approaches a major milestone. On 4 April 2026, VB will celebrate its 60th anniversary. Since its foundation in 1966—then operating under the name J&A Verbakel Verwarming—climate technology has been the common thread throughout the organization.
