Uzbekistan and Dutch company Peterson & Control Union discuss export of vegetables to the EU

On 27 January, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Udi Gubae, Regional Director for EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) of the Dutch company Peterson & Control Union Group.

During the discussions, the parties reviewed Uzbekistan's consistent policy of diversifying export markets, promoting national products to "premium" markets, including the European Union, the United States, and Japan, and building a sustainable international reputation for Uzbek goods.

Particular attention was given to the country's potential in the cultivation and export of fruits and vegetables, including opportunities to expand supplies to the EU market while meeting international quality and certification standards.

The meeting also addressed the prospects for Peterson & Control Union Group's activities in Uzbekistan, including the potential establishment of a joint venture based on the existing AgroLab laboratory.
