After more than 42 years within Rockwool – including 30 years at Grodan and the last 14 years as Managing Director – Hub Janssen will step down from his role as Managing Director, effective 31 January 2026. Grodan thanked Hub for his leadership and the many contributions he has made to Grodan's growth and success.

During his tenure, Hub guided Grodan's expansion from its European base into a global presence, establishing the North American business from the ground up, and successfully developing new markets worldwide. He also drove innovation by introducing GroSens sensor technology and the e-Gro digital platform, strengthening Grodan's position as a pioneer in data-driven cultivation solutions. In addition, Hub has been a strong advocate for environmental sustainability, ensuring Grodan's solutions continue to advance resource efficiency and long-term ecological value.
To ensure continuity for its customers and partners, Anders Espe Kristensen, current Senior Vice President of Rockwool's Systems Division (which includes Grodan), will serve as interim Managing Director until a successor is appointed.
