Innovating to improve the quality of greenhouse gutters and roof systems

Over recent months, several improvements have been implemented in the WNL roof system, with the aim of simplifying installation and further increasing system reliability.

WNL TEX: stronger and more reliable
Several years ago, WNL transitioned from the 4.2x16 BP2 screw (also known as the Arie-Tec) to the 4.2x16 SP. The next step has now been taken with the introduction of the 4.8x20 SP and the 4.8x20 SP with sealing washer, both exclusively developed for WNL.

The WNL TEX screw is a specially engineered stainless steel screw with a split point (SP), designed for fastening into thin steel such as sandwich panels. Thanks to the split point, the screw displaces material rather than drilling into it. This results in a stronger hold in the roof structure and a significantly reduced risk of stripping. The improved fastening performance leads to a lower risk of leakage and a more robust connection overall. Extensive testing has confirmed these benefits.

The WNL TEX screw is available in two versions: without a sealing washer for ridge applications, and with a sealing washer for gutter covers, ensuring a watertight seal in all critical roof details.

Wider WNL gutter profile for renovation projects
The new WNL gutter profile has been widened, making it compatible with a broader range of steel gutters, including the commonly used AC220 gutter. This improvement makes the gutter profile particularly suitable for renovation projects, such as replacing glass roofs with sandwich panel roofs. Where additional extension profiles were previously required to properly insulate the gutter, the updated WNL gutter profile now provides a complete solution.

Shorter gutter covers based on panel width
Updated gutter covers are now also available with a length of 4,394 millimetres, based on four roof panels with a width of 1,100 millimetres. In combination with new screw positions, these shorter covers allow for greater thermal expansion and contraction. This offers a clear functional advantage in regions with large temperature differences and on longer roof spans.

WNL Easyjoint: faster, stronger and cleaner installation
All of these innovations integrate seamlessly with the patented WNL Easyjoint system. This system enables fast, reliable and clean connections between roof panels without the use of sealants. WNL Easyjoint ensures a neat finish, reduces the risk of installation errors and allows for optimal thermal movement. Combined with WNL TEX, the result is a roof system that is stronger, safer and noticeably faster and easier to install.

Installers appreciate the time savings, ease of use and consistent quality of this combination, while end users benefit from a durable, robust and future-ready roofing solution.
