Koppert Sustainable Solutions (India) has announced the inauguration of its expanded 'Mycorrhiza Production Facility' at IDA Bollaram. Koppert Sustainable Solutions India is a joint venture between AgriLife India and Koppert BV of the Netherlands.
The expanded facility strengthens Koppert's local manufacturing capabilities and enhances its production capacity of mycorrhizal solutions—beneficial soil fungi that improve nutrient uptake, soil health, and crop resilience, the company said in a release. These naturally occurring microorganisms form a symbiotic relationship with plant roots, enabling more efficient absorption of water and nutrients, leading to healthier crops and improved yields.
The increased availability of mycorrhizal solutions will help Indian farmers reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers, lower environmental impact, and adopt more sustainable agricultural practices while maintaining productivity.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Venkatesh Devanur, Managing Director, AgriLife, said the expansion reflects Koppert's long-term vision of supporting Indian agriculture through science-based biological solutions. He added that the facility adheres to high-quality production standards and reinforces Koppert's focus on innovation, collaboration, and environmental stewardship.
