The provinces of AlmerĂa and Murcia accounted for more than half of Spain's vegetable exports from January 1 to October 31, 2025. Together, these regions made up 56.42% of the total volume exported, according to a report by Hortoinfo. The data was obtained from the Estacom statistical service (Icex-Tax Agency) and categorized using the European Communities' Integrated Tariff (TARIC) codes.
Almeria led the provincial ranking for horticultural exports during the analyzed period, with 1,687.53 million kilos (3.39% more than the 1,632 million kilos it exported in 2016), accounting for 34.27% of the national total. These sales generated revenues of 2,690.77 million euros, with an average price of 1.59 euros per kilo.
Between January and October 2025, Spain exported 4,923.78 million kilograms of vegetables, representing a 3.52% increase compared to 2016. The total sales value was 7,276.32 million euros, with an average price of 1.48 euros per kilogram.
Murcia ranked second, exporting 1,090.68 million kilos during the same period, representing 22.15% of the total. The exports from Murcia were valued at 1,642.65 million euros, with an average price of 1.51 euros per kilo.
Navarre ranked third, exporting 357.39 million kilos of vegetables from January to June last year, making up 7.26% of the national total. These sales generated 445.11 million euros, with an average price of 1.25 euros per kilo, reflecting a 32.39% increase compared to the same months in 2016.
During the period analyzed, Valencia ranked as the fourth-largest vegetable-exporting province, with 304.92 million kilos exported—accounting for 6.19% of Spain's total. Valencian exports were valued at 446.78 million euros, with an average price of 1.47 euros per kilo. However, Valencia's export volume in the January-October period has declined by 19.24% over the last ten years.
