Division Q invests in Quantified Sensor Technology

Quantified and Division Q are taking the next step together in the development of data-driven cultivation. In addition to a financial investment, Division Q—the technical innovation arm of Koppert Cress—will provide strategic and technical support for the further development of Quantified. Through this collaboration, Koppert Cress and Division Q, which have been using Quantified sensors to their satisfaction since 2018, are strengthening their commitment to innovations that help growers optimize and make their cultivation more sustainable.

"Quantified sensors give us real-time insight into local climate conditions and crop water requirements," says Bart van Meurs, Director of Division Q. "This allows us to continuously monitor and improve cultivation processes at Koppert Cress. The result is more efficient use of labor and reduced consumption of water and nutrients. With this investment, we support Quantified not only in strengthening its international marketing and sales activities, but especially in further technological innovation. Quantified's sensors contribute directly to the sustainability of the sector."

"We are very pleased with Division Q joining our company," says Paul Kengen of Quantified. "We are currently active in 18 countries, and with the involvement and support of Division Q we can further professionalize our organization and accelerate our growth."

According to Kengen, the collaboration goes beyond scaling up. "Division Q's involvement enables us to support even more growers worldwide in saving labor time, water, energy, and nutrients. This allows us to expand not only our reach, but also our impact on global horticulture."

No financial details have been disclosed. The partnership is focused on accelerating international growth and further professionalizing the organization.
