The 39th SIVAL opened its doors on Tuesday

The SIVAL specialized plant production show is taking place this week on January 13th, 14th and 15th, 2026 at the Angers exhibition center. This year, no fewer than 700 exhibitors - including 80 new ones - are expected to cover 34,000 m², divided into the following sectors: machinery and equipment (40%), post-harvest equipment (29%), machinery, packaging, conservation, handling, tied with inputs (29%), protected crops (greenhouses, protection...), services (14%) including banking, consultancy, and 12% seeds, seedlings and new technologies.

According to the visitors and exhibitors interviewed, the event got off to a flying start, with a show "packed to the rafters" on Tuesday morning. A lot of visitors, but above all "a lot of interest from professionals and a very good atmosphere, despite a context made more complex by the current agricultural crisis." This year's major new feature, the "Roots of the Future" podcast, co-produced with CTIFL was launched on Tuesday morning. Visitors were able to watch the first 3 episodes in the 'La Scène' area (Episode 1: From field to planet, Episode 2: Planting the future, Episode 3: Climate).

A great success, according to Jean-Marc Goachet. "We are delighted to see that around thirty people were present for the launch of the podcast. The visitors were there and all our teams were present to discuss the issues facing the agricultural world, including adaptation to climate change. The attendance confirms the marked interest of professionals in this subject. We are no longer just making observations. We are now getting down to the nitty-gritty and putting solutions in place."
