Signify has supplied Vreugdenhil-Klugt with successfully upgrading for their HPS lighting across 45 hectares at six cultivation sites using Philips GreenPower LED toplighting force and Philips GrowWise control. This solution enables precise crop steering at every crop stage, ensuring uniform, high-quality young plant production even during the dark winter months.
"We've been searching for a lighting system to grow strong plants in every season," says John Potters, head of the vegetable division at Vreugdenhil-Klugt. "With Philips Horticulture LEDs, we can control all light spectra using the GrowWise system, ensuring uniform growth and efficiency while minimizing energy use. Winter production has always been a challenge due to low light levels, but now we can grow plants that are just as strong as in summer."
