A modern greenhouse complex has been built and put into operation at the Nurly meýdan farming enterprise in Bereket district of Balkan province, marking a new step in Turkmenistan's efforts to expand high-tech agriculture.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Balkan province and Bereket district administrations, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, public organizations, members of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), MPs, respected elders, and local residents, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

During the celebrations, valuable gifts on behalf of the president of Turkmenistan were presented to builders who distinguished themselves in the construction of the facility. The ceremony featured songs and dances performed by artists from the province, adding a festive atmosphere to the event.
After receiving the elders' blessing, guests toured the greenhouse to explore its internal layout and production capabilities. The complex covers an area of 10 hectares, with the surrounding territory fully landscaped and equipped with technical and auxiliary facilities.
The greenhouse is fitted with advanced technologies supplied by companies from the Netherlands, Türkiye, Greece, Italy, Spain, and other countries. Its annual production capacity is designed to reach 2,000 tons of tomatoes.
According to the source, elite tomato seeds imported from European countries have already been planted in the greenhouse and are beginning to yield their first harvest, highlighting the project's strong production potential and contribution to food security and agricultural development in the region.
