15 greenhouses are renovated in Erzurum, Turkey, with state funding assistance

A total of 38 growers in the center of Oltu district and its surrounding neighborhoods operate greenhouses that span an area of 25,000 square meters. As part of the "Erzurum Province Plastic Greenhouse Covering Renewal Project," the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry supplied greenhouse nylon covers to 18 growers, offering a 50% grant. The project involved renewing the greenhouse coverings of 19 growers in 2024 and 18 growers in 2025. All applications submitted by greenhouse growers were approved, according to officials.

The District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry officials announced that the total budget for the project in 2025 was 5.000 USD, with 2.000 USD funded by a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Benefiting growers expressed their thanks to the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry for the assistance offered.

Attending the greenhouse distribution ceremony were Oltu District Governor Mustafa Celik, Oltu Deputy Mayor Israfil Aslan, District Director of Agriculture and Forestry Temel Aslan, MHP District Chairman Vedat Saglam, along with many growers. Officials underscored that the initiative will greatly aid the advancement of greenhouse farming and the enhancement of production capacity in Oltu.
