The initiative aims to modernize production structures and enable investments in greenhouses, tunnels, irrigation systems and certified planting material. The goal is to support growers and increase the competitiveness of fruit production across the state.
The credit line is structured to cover different producer profiles. Individual growers can finance up to R$250000, while legal entities have access to up to R$500000. Associations and cooperatives can apply for up to R$800000 for the establishment or renewal of production areas. Up to 30% of the approved amount can be allocated to operating costs, including input purchases and initial expenses. Repayment terms extend up to 84 months, with a 12 month grace period.
"We have well structured production hubs in the state, such as Atibaia and Jarinu," said Agriculture Secretary Guilherme Piai. "Fruit production has a transversal impact because, in addition to being a key driver of agrotourism in the region, it requires significant labor during harvest, generating a development cycle that goes well beyond the farm gate."
