Are you feeding your predatory mites? If not, you are likely to be missing a trick

Growers around the world use Nutrimite™ to improve the establishment, survival, and effectiveness of predatory mites, especially when pest levels are low. This highly nutritious supplementary food offers a proven, cost-effective way to strengthen and speed up mite establishment while helping maintain strong populations for more reliable control.

Predatory mites depend on pest mites or pollen as their food source. When either is in short supply, whether early in the season or after pest numbers drop, Nutrimite fills the gap and keeps the mites active and effective.

Nutrimite is made from specially selected, nutrient-rich pollen. It delivers excellent results with BioBest's Degenerans-System and Swirskii-System, and it also supports Andersoni-System, Californicus-System, and Amblyseius-System.

BioBest recommends using Nutrimite during propagation, during greenhouse crop establishment, or in short-cycle crops to strengthen mite populations. It's especially useful in long-term crops that experience food shortages and in ornamentals such as Chrysanthemum, Poinsettia, Ficus, and Calathea, where predatory mites can be harder to establish.

Nutrimite stays fresh for up to two weeks, resists mould, and is simple to apply. A typical program involves at least three applications of 500 g/ha every two weeks. It is supplied in 500 g bottles, which should be stored frozen and thawed before use. Once thawed, it should be blown into crops within two days using the Entomatic Handheld or a Makita adaptor. Any pesticides should be applied before Nutrimite. When predatory mites are being introduced for the first time, Nutrimite can be distributed at the same time using the Entomatic Handheld. For later applications, BioBest recommends switching to the Makita adaptor.

Because it contains pollen collected from uncultivated plants, Nutrimite is residue-free, does not interfere with pollination, and carries minimal allergy risk.
