80 new greenhouses built across Afghanistan

The provincial officials of the Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Department of Daikundi have announced the completion and inauguration of 80 greenhouses valued at over 19.3 million Afghanis.

In a statement released on November 22, it was stated that the greenhouses were constructed in the districts of "Nili, Shahristan, Sangtakht, Bandar, Ashtarlai, Khadir, and Miramor."

The officials stated that each greenhouse covers an area of 50 square meters, said the statement adding that the cost of each greenhouse amounts to 237,891 Afghanis. The statement highlights that the goal of building the greenhouses is to promote greenhouse farming for farmers, ensuring productive yields of various crops and vegetables throughout the year, it also creates jobs for farmers and improves their livelihoods through increased productivity.
