Przemysław Sarbinowski:

"Optimal moisture levels crucial for healthy root development and consistent plant growth"

In the heart of the Wielkopolska region in Poland, near the well-known Gontyniec Hill and the highest point in the area, a berry farm in Strozewo is a family-run business that currently cultivates around 10 hectares of raspberries and strawberries, expanding its area by roughly two hectares each year. For more than a decade, the farm has relied on Botanicoir's coco coir substrates to deliver consistent quality and healthy plant growth.

Run by Przemysław Sarbinowski, the grower's connection with Botanicoir began in the UK back in 2006, where he first met company founder Kalum Balasuriya while working on a farm. "Even then, I knew the company would be successful," he recalls. "A great product is one thing, but the people behind it are what truly make the difference."

After returning to Poland and establishing his own farm, he met Krzysztof Sak, Botanicoir's sales manager for Europe and the Middle East, whose knowledge and approach helped introduce many new growers to the benefits of premium coco coir. "Even though Botanicoir products speak for themselves, Krzysztof has a rare ability to build trust and convince new growers, especially those who focus mainly on price, to look beyond cost and invest in quality that pays off in the long run. His professionalism, knowledge, and approach make him an invaluable partner."

The decision to grow in Botanicoir's coco coir was based on both product quality and company values. "I was impressed by the quality and consistency of the substrate, as well as the people and values behind the company." Przemysław highlights the coir's excellent buffering, optimal particle size, and balanced fibre content, all of which contribute to stable water retention and air balance in the root zone.

"The substrate maintains optimal moisture levels, which is crucial for healthy root development and consistent plant growth."

Thanks to Botanicoir, the farm achieves reliable growth and yield consistency across each expanding hectare. The coco coir medium supports stronger, more resilient plants and simplifies irrigation management, ensuring the crop can thrive even in variable conditions.

"Botanicoir products and people have played a significant role in our farm's success, and I'm proud to continue this collaboration," adds Przemysław.
