Greenhouses of the future, Drummondville QC

Québec hosting its annual “Colloque maraîcher en serre”

As the greenhouse conference season draws to a close for 2025, Québec is gearing up for one of its last greenhouse events of the year, the Colloque maraîcher en serre. The one-day symposium will be held on November 12, 2025, and will receive attendees both virtually and on-site at the Centrexpo Promutuel Assurance conference centre in Drummondville, Québec.

The conference's theme this year is the future of Québec's greenhouse sector, with conference presentations focusing on new research, automation in fruit and vegetable production, adoption of new technologies, agrivoltaics, crop diversification and improved management strategies. The symposium will also include a presentation from Quebec's greenhouse grower association (Producteurs en serre du Québec, or PSQ) about the association's strategic planning for 2026-2030.

This event is held annually and is typically well attended by growers, consultants, and researchers. This year, organizers added interactive spaces which include experts in crop protection, human resources and technologies as well as a research space and a trade floor featuring exhibitors like Plant Products, Serres Harnois, Royal Brinkman, Koppert Canada, Premier Tech and MJL Systems.

To register for the event, attendees must have an account with CRAAQ, which is free. Attendees can then register to attend the event in person or virtually at this link. Note that all presentations will be given in French.
