Almeria sets a new record in fruit and vegetable exports, surpassing €4,100 million

Almeria wrapped up the 2024/2025 season with record-breaking fruit and vegetable exports. According to a Hortoinfo report based on data from Estacom (Icex-Tax Agency), shipments abroad totaled €4,148.53 million, the highest value ever recorded.

From August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, Almeria's exporters sold 2,755 million kilos of fruits and vegetables internationally, at an average price of €1.51 per kilo.

Pepper led Almeria's exports with €1,132.72 million, 520.98 million kilos, and an average of €2.17 per kilo.

Cucumber was next with €770.22 million, 566.09 million kilos, and €1.36 per kilo. Tomato ranked third with €651.04 million, 392.52 million kilos, and an average price of €1.66 per kilo.

Courgettes ranked fourth with €390.31 million, 323.25 million kilos, and an average price of €1.21 per kilo; watermelons ranked fifth with €290 million, 353.33 million kilos, and an average price of €0.82 per kilo.

Germany remained the main market for Almeria's fruits and vegetables, importing 1,013.5 million kilos for €1,513.04 million (€1.49/kg).

France ranked second with 405.56 million kilos, valued at €529.26 million (€1.31 per kilo), followed by the Netherlands, which imported 279.34 million kilos valued at €426.21 million (€1.53 per kilo).

The United Kingdom ranked fourth with 271.34 million kilos valued at €460.27 million (€1.70 per kilo), while Poland finished fifth with 144.36 million kilos worth €197.97 million (€1.37 per kilo).
