Kayseri Governor: The geothermal greenhouse project will triple the agricultural production of the city

Construction is moving forward at full speed on the Geothermal Greenhouse Organized Agricultural Zone project in Kocasinan, Kayseri, Turkey. Officials sent information to Governor Cicek and his delegation, who kept a careful eye on the work being done in the region. The 2025 investment program included this project, which will boost Kayseri's agricultural and production capabilities and influence the local economy.

Governor Gokmen Cicek spoke after the site inspections, highlighting the project's revolutionary potential for Kayseri's agricultural sector. When the project is finished, Kayseri's vegetable production will triple, according to Cicek. According to Cicek, the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration is optimistic about a fourth well after discovering water in 3 of them.

Governor Cicek noted that 1,500 people, primarily women, will be employed in these greenhouses and that the project would require an investment of 125 million USD for completion, and that it would bring Kayseri 75 million USD revenue annually. He also underlined that the initiative represents the backbone and the future of Kayseri's agriculture, to export 50,000 tons of vegetables.
