"Supporting the transition and preparing for the future of specialized plant companies"
This will be the guiding theme of the 2026 event, which will focus on three priorities: economic performance (profitability, competitiveness and sustainability of production systems), climate (adaptation needs of companies) and development and enhancement of sectors (attractiveness of sectors: recruitment, transfer, training of future generations...).

SIVAL Innovation and AGREEN DÉFI competitions
SIVAL is also about innovation, through the SIVAL Innovation competitions, which reward innovative solutions each year in 7 categories, and the Agreen Startup marathon, which will be revamped in 2026 to become AGREEN DÉFI. Supported by the Pays de la Loire Chamber of Agriculture, AGREEN DÉFI is refocusing on specialized crops and highlighting tools using artificial intelligence and connected robotics. Still working in multi-disciplinary teams, the project leaders will have to go further than in previous editions by proving their concept.
Fruit 2050: the fruit sector event returns
The biennial event created in 2018 and co-organized by SIVAL, CTIFL, GIS FRUITS, INRAE, INTERFEL and VEGEPOLYS VALLEY returns in 2026. This 5th edition will focus on orchard protection, with the theme: What levers are being studied to protect orchard health? The aim is to provide answers about existing and future tools for combating disease and pest pressure in orchards, while taking into account the need to reduce the use of synthetic plant protection products.
Fruit 2050 will take place on January 13th from 1.45pm. On the program:
● 4 circuits/4 areas of solutions from 1.45pm to 3.15pm
Genetic leverage: which varieties are more resistant now and in the future?
Biocontrol: what "natural" alternatives are there to protect orchards?
The physical lever: what mechanical tools are needed to meet economic and environmental challenges?
The OAD lever: what support tools for orchard management?
● FRUIT 2050 conference from 3.30 to 4.30 pm
This conference will highlight the underlying issues in orchard protection. An initial review will focus on current projects and the results of experiments carried out in recent years to reduce the use of plant protection products in orchards, while maintaining their economic performance.
● The FRUIT 2050 round table from 4.30pm to 5.15pm
Fruit 2050 will host a round table of experts to discuss the technical, regulatory and political levers available to date and in the coming years, with the aim of providing new solutions for plant protection in the fruit-growing sector.
