This week, retailers offered the full range of fall favorites for shoppers. Colorful assortments of hard squashes and pumpkins were displayed alongside apples and pears, while pomegranates and cranberries added pops of red and tangy flavor. Hearty staples such as cabbage, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, carrots, and cauliflower were also in demand.

Total ad numbers reached 304,551 this week, a 4% increase from last week's 293,986. Compared to the same week last year, totals were 2% higher than 298,103. The number of ads by commodity group included 153,056 for fruit (50%), 22,204 for onions and potatoes (7%), 120,344 for vegetables (40%), 853 for herbs, 3,161 for ornamentals, 4,545 for hemp, and 1,241 for honey. Organic produce accounted for 39,912 ads, representing 13% of the total.

Among fruits, the only notable price increase was for strawberries (1 lb.), which rose by 12%. Prices decreased for raspberries (6 oz.) by 18%, red seedless grapes (per lb.) by 11%, Honeycrisp apples (per lb.) by 10%, and Gala apples (3 lb. bag) by 10%.

For potatoes and onions, Russet potatoes (5 lb. bag) recorded a 13% increase, marking the only major change in that category.

Among vegetables, spaghetti squash prices increased by 10%, while grape tomatoes (10 oz. package) fell by 22% and cucumbers (each) declined by 12%.
