HCTS and Boekestijn Elektrotech join forces

As of October 14, HCTS Holding has acquired 100% of the shares in Boekestijn Elektrotech. Both HCTS and Boekestijn will continue to operate independently, maintaining their own names and identities.

With this step, HCTS and Boekestijn strengthen both their collaboration and their position in the Dutch greenhouse horticulture sector. The partnership is a logical response to the ongoing scaling-up and consolidation within the horticultural industry, as well as the growing demand for innovative and sustainable (electro)technical solutions. By combining their expertise and experience, both companies will be able to offer even stronger support to their customers. At the same time, their joint position as Hoogendoorn dealers will be further reinforced.

The acquisition will not affect employment. Both companies will continue their activities from their existing locations in De Lier, Bleiswijk, Venlo, and Klazienaveen.

Boekestijn Elektrotech is an experienced installer in greenhouse horticulture and utility construction, specializing in electrical installations, process automation, climate computers, grow lighting, and security systems.

Erik Boekestijn, CEO of Boekestijn, commented: "Through this partnership with HCTS, we are taking an important step toward future growth. By combining, sharing, and expanding our knowledge and expertise, we strengthen the continuity of our clients' installations and businesses—today and in the years ahead."

HCTS (formerly Horticoop Technical Services) is a technical installation partner for high-tech horticultural companies, delivering complete installation and automation solutions.

Chris Groninger, CEO of HCTS, added: "The challenges in greenhouse horticulture are growing. By joining forces, we're building a strong, future-proof organization that continues to innovate and evolve with the sector—while preserving the unique identity of both companies."

Patrick Groeneveld, CEO of Horticoop: "As the shareholder of HCTS, we see this acquisition as an important step in our strategy to form a resilient group of horticultural technology companies that can together deliver innovative solutions and high-quality service for the Dutch greenhouse sector."
