KUBO builds

First greenhouse project for Millennium in Canada

Following a successful earlier collaboration in California, KUBO and Millennium are once again joining forces. In Delta, British Columbia, KUBO is realizing Millennium's first greenhouse in Canada: a conventional greenhouse of nearly 10 hectares, designed for the cultivation of tomatoes and bell peppers. The tomatoes will be grown under lighting to ensure constant production even during the winter months.

Innovative project
The project features modern climate-controlled systems and efficient energy and water management technologies. With the use of lighting, Millennium will be able to produce high-quality tomatoes year-round. The greenhouse will yield thousands of tons of tomatoes and peppers annually.

Trust and collaboration
Millennium is once again choosing KUBO thanks to the positive experience in California, where KUBO not only delivered quality but also contributed to the entire process, from planning to delivery. This successful collaboration has strengthened trust and forms the foundation for a long-term partnership.

"After our collaboration in California, it was a logical step to also build with KUBO in Canada. We value their technical expertise, reliability, and their ability to realize our vision of modern horticulture. Millennium trusts KUBO to manage the process and guide it to success," said Shirvan Bakhtiyari, CEO & President, Millennium Pacific Greenhouses.

Local impact
With this project, Millennium strengthens the food supply in British Columbia by delivering fresh tomatoes and peppers year-round. The use of sustainable technologies helps reduce the ecological footprint, in part through efficient water and energy use. Delta is a natural choice for this expansion: it is where Millennium began its growing operations, and the region offers ideal conditions, such as a favorable climate, strong agricultural infrastructure, and proximity to urban markets like Vancouver. In addition, the new greenhouse will create extra local employment opportunities, ranging from cultivation to logistics.

Construction of the project is expected to begin in fall 2025, with completion planned for summer 2026
