The event opened with a keynote presentation from Canadian Produce Marketing Association's Vice President of Marketing & Events, Sue Lewis. Lewis shared information about fresh produce market trends throughout Canada. Other presentations covered a range of topics including humidity control for consistent food production, findings of ongoing lighting research to reduce heat input with tomato production, and using AI to maximize the power of your greenhouse data.

The half-day session also included a panel discussion with four representatives from local Quebec grower operations in which the growers discussed their challenges, and shared experiences and insights about the industry.

The Quebec summit was hosted by the ACT (Advancing Cultivation Technologies) group that consists of four key horticulture providers—Grodan, Signify (Philips LED Lighting), Priva, and Svensson. The ACT group provides growers with valuable networking opportunities and education on cutting-edge innovations and best practices. Other ACT summits have been held in Leamington, Ontario and Langley, British Columbia. This was the third time the event had been hosted in Quebec.
