Turkish city of Antalya is responsible for 46% of the Turkey’s greenhouse areas

With an annual production of 8 million tons, Antalya is the center of Turkish agriculture, according to Huseyin Sari, a member of the Board of Directors of the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO). According to Sari, Antalya is responsible for half of Turkey's greenhouse production, and the city, which is a major contributor to Turkish agriculture due to its ecological benefits, has 31.600 hectares of greenhouse land, or 46% of the country's total greenhouse agriculture.

According to ATSO Board Member Huseyin Sari, Antalya produces more than 798 million ornamental plants a year, or half of Turkey's entire production. He also added that Antalya is one of the leading producers of a wide range of goods, including avocados (55%), bananas (46%), and oranges (29%). Additionally, Antalya tops the nation in both variety and quality of agriculture, producing 8 million tons of plants annually.

According to Sari, ATSO places a high priority on boosting the competitiveness and sustainability of agricultural production in Antalya, a city that makes a substantial contribution to the nation's economy and agriculture. "We support innovative solutions like climate-friendly production methods, smart greenhouse applications, and digitalization in agriculture." Antalya remains an important city for the world agriculture community as well as for Turkey due to its advantageous geographic location, logistical benefits, and robust agricultural industry.
