The greenhouse industry, which has grown significantly in Erzincan in recent years, still receives support from the city administration. It was previously declared that greenhouse producers whose greenhouses have been destroyed will receive greenhouse nylon support, as there is a lot of effort and projects underway to enhance greenhouse farming in Erzincan.
It was announced that greenhouse growers in Erzincan will receive greenhouse nylon support as part of the "Project for the Renewal of Covers for Greenhouse Plants in Erzincan," which was prepared by the Erzincan Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry's Plant Production and Plant Health Branch and submitted to the General Directorate of Plant Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Teams from the Erzincan Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry have started examining the greenhouses that have applied to receive support from the project.
Alper Kocaker, the provincial director of Agriculture and Forestry for Erzincan said: "As part of the Renewal of Covers for Greenhouses in Erzincan Project, which is being carried out by the Erzincan Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry with assistance from the General Directorate of Plant Production of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, we will provide greenhouse nylons with a 50% grant to greenhouses in Erzincan city center and other districts to enable them to return to production. Our greenhouse growers have sent us the required requests. Field inspections are being carried out by our teams from the Plant Production and Plant Health Branch Directorate. Restoring production to greenhouses that have stopped producing is our goal here. We are enlisting our greenhouse growers who own greenhouses but are unable to continue production. In this case, the project will be beneficial to growers who are unable to produce due to damaged plastic greenhouse covers. Within the project budget, we will supply our greenhouse growers with the plastic covers they require after the required inspections are finished."
