South Korean grower shipping vegetables to worldwide retail stores

Smart farm comprehensive solution corporations WDG Farm said on the 25th that it will begin full-scale shipping of premium vegetables grown in a European-style vegetable greenhouse. They are being sold through Costco, Coupang, and KakaoTalk Deal.

The European-style vegetable greenhouse is equipped with advanced facilities that combine its proprietary semi-closed glass greenhouse technology with MGS (Mobile Gully System·automated facilities), the latest European horticultural technology. At about 10,000 pyeong, it is the largest among semi-closed glass greenhouses in Korea.

WDG Farm is producing a variety of European-style vegetables in this greenhouse, including romaine, Caipira, butterhead, and frill lettuce. WDG Farm expects annual production to exceed 3,000 tons (t). That means new annual sales of 30 billion won.

WDG Farm expects its sales to diversify from the existing stevia tomato brand "Tomango" to European-style vegetables. A WDG Farm official said, "This greenhouse operation is not just a simple new product shipment but a stepping stone to leap forward as a global agriculture corporations," adding, "Based on the brand competitiveness secured with Tomango, we will foster European-style vegetables as a new growth axis."
