Vegetable production continues in greenhouses in Kumluca despite temperatures reaching 50 degrees in greenhouses

Greenhouse workers in Kumluca, Antalya, continue to work under challenging conditions and grow vegetable seedlings in greenhouses despite the high temperatures. Farmers begin work early in the morning and spend eight hours daily in the greenhouse.

Tevfik Kokce, President of the Kumluca Chamber of Agriculture, said that women seedling producers in the district work tirelessly in the scorching heat. Kokce noted that the high temperatures make the working environment difficult and congratulated the women for continuing to produce in such an environment.

Hacer Kurt, who works in the greenhouse, said they are diligently ensuring that agricultural production remains uninterrupted. Noting that the temperature in the greenhouse is even higher, Kurt said, "If it's close to 40 degrees outside right now, it's around 50 degrees inside. It's truly scorching hot, but there's nothing to do. If we don't grow seedlings, people will not get their food, and we will not be able to earn a living."
