Asparagus
Movement from Mexico crossings through Arizona, California, and Texas is expected to remain about the same. Trading is slow at higher prices, with most shipments from previous commitments. Eleven-pound cartons of bunched large are mostly 40.75–42.75, and standard are 38.75–40.75. Prices include extra services. From Peru, movement through Southern California ports is expected to remain steady.
Avocado
Movement from Mexico crossings through Texas is expected to remain about the same. Trading of 32–36s is fairly slow, while others are moderate. Conventional 40s and 60–84s are higher, organic 60–70s are unchanged, and others are lower. Hass cartons two-layer 32s are mostly 50.25, 36s 46.25–50.25, 40s 41.25–46.25, 48–70s 30.25–33.25, and 84s 26.25–28.25. Organic 48s are 52.25–54.25, 60s 44.25–48.25, and 70s 36.25–42.25. From Peru, movement through Philadelphia and New York is expected to decrease.
Blueberry
Movement from British Columbia through Northwest Washington is expected to decrease. Trading is moderate and prices are generally unchanged, with flats of 12 6-ounce cups mostly 12.00–14.00 and 12 1-pint cups 14.00–16.00. From Oregon and Washington, movement is also expected to decrease. Flats of 12 6-ounce cups are mostly 10.00–12.00, and 12 1-pint cups are 16.00–18.00; organic pints are 27.50–30.50. From Peru, imports through Miami, Philadelphia, and New York are expected to increase, but current supplies are too limited to establish a market.
Cucumber
Movement from Mexico crossings through Otay Mesa is expected to decrease slightly. Trading is fairly active, with cartons 36s slightly higher and others much higher. Medium are mostly 14.00–16.00, fair quality 12.00–13.00, and large 12.00–14.00. Cartons of 36s are 8.00–9.00. From Texas, movement is expected to decrease. Large are fairly slow, medium are fairly active. Medium is 15.95–17.95, fair quality is 12.95–14.95, and ordinary quality is 9.95–10.95. From Michigan, movement is expected to remain the same.
Tomato
Movement from Mexico crossings through Texas is expected to remain steady. Trading is fairly active, with much higher prices. Vine ripe cartons 2-layer 4x4–4x5s are 20.95–24.95, and 5x5–5x6s 20.95–22.95. Loose 25-pound cartons of 4x4–4x5s are 24.95–26.95, and 5x5–5x6s 24.95–25.95. From California's Central District, movement is expected to increase slightly, with 25-pound cartons loose extra-large and large mostly 15.35 and medium 12.35–13.35. From Otay Mesa, supplies are light but prices are much higher, with 2-layer 4x4–5x6s mostly 20.00–22.00.
